Beautifully handcrafted Sock monkey hat. Can be made in the classic white, red, grey colours as shown or in a colour combination of your choice. L 
Often Sock monkeys are shown with scary mouths, but my sock monkey is rather cute and very happy! 
Traditionally a sock monkey was a stuffed toy made from socks - a mix of folk art and kitsch during the time of the Arts and Crafts movement in Victorian times.
One reason why sock monkeys are popular is that sock monkeys are said to be good luck charms, and as a result, people offer sock monkeys as gifts. Sock monkeys have been given to patients in hospitals as a symbol of a quick recovery.
Crocheted using warm premium acrylic yarns, this hat is sure to keep you toasty in the coldest of temperatures. The fun earflap design adds extra warmth and protection from the elements too, ensuring you stay comfortable and snug all season long.
Handcrafted with the greatest attention to detail, my hats are generously made ensuring they are very comfortable to wear, for both adults and kids. This means that everyone enjoys wearing them, and children will keep them on -  the hat also lasts as they grow.

- Handmade in a pet and smoke free home, making it a safe option for those with allergies or sensitivities.
- Handcrafted with 100% premium acrylic yarn making it warm and cosy, and vegan.
Care Instructions:
- Machine washable at 40C. Do not tumble dry.
Postage & Packaging:
- Each order will be beautifully gift wrapped in tissue paper and tied with a ribbon at no extra charge with Annie’s compliments
- UK orders will be sent 2nd class Royal Mail which usually takes 3-5 working days. International postage could take up to 9-11 working days.
- No additional delivery charge for second or more items ordered together, to the same delivery address
- At the checkout, you have the option to upgrade the postage to tracked or express delivery, if you need your order in a hurry.

     Making Timescales 

    • All of my designs are handcrafted with much love, care and attention to detail, so they take time; they are not cheap imports. 

    • Items are handmade by me, following a firm order.  

    • If you have an urgent deadline, then please send me a message before ordering, and I’ll let you know if I can make it sooner.  

    • August- December are my busiest times, and quoted delivery timescales become longer during these months, so please order sooner rather than later 

     

     Sizing 

    My hats are generously made and very comfortable to wear. 

    For children there is plenty of room for them to grow, so the hats last a long time. 

    Approximate sizing is as follows - this may vary slightly with different designs and yarns. 

    • Baby to 12 months old: Head Circumference 17” or 43cm 

    • 1-5 years: Head Circumference 19” or 48cm 

    • 6-12 years: Head Circumference 20/21” or 53cm 

    • Teen/Lady/Small Adult: Head Circumference 21/22” or 56cm 

    • Man/Larger Adult: Circumference 24” or 61cm 

      

    Packaging and Gift Wrapping 

    Each item will be delightfully wrapped in tissue paper and ribbon at no extra charge, with my compliments. Orders can therefore be sent directly to the intended recipient if this is easier for you. 

     

    Delivery 

    • All UK items are posted via Royal Mail with 2nd class postage 

    • International orders are sent via Standard International Royal Mail 

    • Express delivery options are also available 

     

    Care Instructions 

    • Machine washable at 40°C on a gentle cycle 

    • Dry flat, do not tumble dry 

      

    Returns 

    You can return or exchange your order for whatever reason, whether you have changed your mind or would prefer a different size - I want you to be 100% delighted with your purchase. 

    Please return your item, with tags still attached, within 14 days of receipt. The item must be returned in perfect condition. 

    Please note that returns for personalised or bespoke items are not possible. 

      

    Safety 

    Babies and young children should never be left unattended whilst wearing hats with braids (design with earflaps) or scarves. 

    Please let me know if you would prefer an earflap hat to be made without braids. 

    Booties are suitable for babies until they are walking, or for keeping toes warm and snug in prams and strollers. (These booties do not have a non-slip sole.)
